About Kids Cars and Coffee

A car community built around possibility.

Kids Cars and Coffee uses a shared love of cars to bring young people, families, and community members together at supervised events, where real stories and encouragement help young people see what’s possible and believe in the futures they can build.

A note from Gina

Hi, welcome. I’m Gina.

I’m the president of Kids Cars and Coffee, and I’m honored to lead its next chapter.

I’ve always been an SUV and truck kind of gal, until a fast car changed all of that. I love the way a car hugs the road through a corner, and the sound of an exhaust still turns my head. Track days at BMW Thermal and the Porsche Experience LA, plus NASCAR and dirt car races, only made me love it more. Cornering is the fun part, and enjoying performance driving on closed courses makes it even more memorable.

But cars are only half of why I started this. I’ve always believed in helping kids. Every young person’s story starts differently: some grow up with every advantage, some with a solid foundation, and some with much less support. None of them chose it, and where they start doesn’t have to decide where they finish. What I want them to know is how many choices are out there, because sometimes seeing the right path is what opens up a lifetime of possibilities.

“Where they start doesn’t have to decide where they finish.”

I've always loved meeting people, building relationships, and learning from their experiences. Over the years, I've seen how powerful networking can be—not just for building a career, but for discovering opportunities, gaining confidence, and finding people who genuinely want to see you succeed.

At one point in my own life, I was fortunate enough to have an incredible mentor. The guidance, encouragement, and wisdom I received made a lasting difference in how I saw myself and what I believed I could accomplish. That experience stayed with me, and it's something I'll always be grateful for.

Now, I want to pay that kindness forward. I want young people to experience what it feels like to have someone believe in them, share what they've learned, and help them recognize opportunities they might not have seen on their own. Not every conversation will change a life, but sometimes the right words, from the right person, at the right moment, can make all the difference.

So I asked myself: why not bring the two together in a real event where everyone, from every walk of life, can enjoy it? Incredible vehicles in a warm, welcoming setting, and owners who love sharing what they’ve built and what they’ve lived. A young person may walk up because of a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti Veyron, Porsche, Mustang, BMW, truck, classic, or JDM build, or simply a car they’ve never seen before. But a great car does something even better than turn heads: it starts a conversation. The same passion and dedication that go into a build show up in the story of the person standing beside it, and that story is what matters most.

My goal is simple: if I can help one young person at a time see a better path, and a better future, then I’ve done my job. You can make an impact by sharing your experience at a supervised group event. Sometimes one honest conversation is enough. Whether you bring a car, a story, or your family, there’s a place for you here.

As an active mentor at San Diego State University, she supports young people as they explore their ambitions, build confidence, and prepare for their futures.

Having personally experienced the lasting impact of a great mentor, Gina knows how powerful it can be when someone takes the time to listen, offer guidance, and believe in another person’s potential.

An automotive enthusiast who enjoys performance driving, she saw an opportunity to combine her passion for cars with her commitment to helping others. She envisioned a community where a shared appreciation for automobiles could bring young people together with entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners, and people from all walks of life.

Through Kids Cars & Coffee, she hopes to inspire curiosity, encourage personal growth, and create connections that open doors to possibilities young people may never have considered.

Her philosophy is simple: “Where they start doesn’t have to decide where they finish.”
