Help a young person discover more possibilities.

Kids Cars and Coffee creates supervised, family-centered automotive events where young people can meet positive adults, hear real-life stories, explore careers, ask questions, and see new possibilities for their future.

Who can attend

Kids Cars and Coffee family events welcome young people under 18 when they attend with a parent, legal guardian, or family-authorized adult who remains part of the experience. A family-authorized adult is an adult whom the parent or legal guardian has expressly authorized to accompany and supervise the young person for that event. KCC events are not drop-off programs.

Activities depend on age suitability, interests, the confirmed schedule, capacity, and designated adult supervision.

What families can expect

Families remain part of the experience. Young people can explore vehicles, meet car owners and career professionals, and participate in visible, supervised conversations designed around encouragement, confidence, and possibility.

Before you arrive

Check the event page or your event update for the confirmed location, start/end time, parking or check-in instructions, RSVP details, and any event-specific information. The January 2027 pilot is planned as a free event.

A parent, legal guardian, or family-authorized adult should plan to remain with the young person throughout the event. Bring any RSVP confirmation that is issued, weather-appropriate clothing, and questions you want to ask car owners or career speakers.

Join a group event

Parents and legal guardians can register family interest and receive event updates. Activities depend on the confirmed event schedule, age suitability, space, and supervision. Register family interest.

Supervised group participation

Youth-facing volunteer roles require role-specific screening, orientation, training, and approval before serving. Review the safety & rules for participation requirements.

KCC brings youth, families, positive adult role models, career professionals, and automotive enthusiasts together through supervised group events, workshops, demonstrations, and panel conversations. KCC does not offer private one-to-one mentoring or mentor matching. Adults must not have unsupervised one-to-one interactions, provide private transportation, or exchange private electronic messages with minors through KCC activities. Any emergency or other controlled exception must be specifically authorized by Board-adopted youth-safety policies.

Your photo choice

Parents and legal guardians can ask that their young person not be photographed. Set or update your event photo preferences, and confirm your choice at check-in so the event team can respect it. Photo and media permissions are handled separately from event participation.

Protecting privacy

A parent or legal guardian submits family interest using their own contact information. Please do not include a child’s private contact details, medical, legal, school, counseling, or other sensitive records. Event-specific consent and check-in information are handled separately.

Questions or safety concerns

At each KCC event, families can go to the check-in area and ask for the Event Safety Lead. The person serving in that role will be identified by name onsite and is the point of contact for conduct, supervision, or safety concerns.

For a non-emergency concern at any time, use the Report a Safety Concern pathway. If there is immediate danger or an emergency, call 911 first.
